Absorber Panels are fabric wrapped panels.
Standard fabric is a 100% woven polyester fabric. Select from 40+ colors. Many other
fabrics can also be utilized, subject to manufacturer approval.
Barrel and Pyramidal-Shaped Diffuser Panels can be fabric wrapped with our
standard 100% woven polyester fabric. Ceiling diffusers are standard with a white,
lemon-peel textured, gel-coat finish.
Quadratic Diffuser Panels are only available in a white, smooth,
gel-coat finish.

(Note: Barrel and Pyramidal Shaped
Diffusers specified with the optional fabric covering must utilize AR's standard fabric: a
66" width, plain-weave, woven, polyester fabric. Other fabrics selected for diffuser fabric finish may present a distorted pattern due to the shape of the diffuser panel. COM fabrics are always subject to prior
approval by AR.)
VINYLS:
Omnova Solutions, Inc. - Webcore Type I -12 oz, mini- perforated vinyl
"High
Style" 54" w & "Knightbridge" 66" w.
. TTT
Type II -20 oz vinyl wallcoverings such as Gen Tex "Stardust" require 1/8" diameter perforations on 3/32" staggered centers. (Micro-perforation of type II vinyl becomes 'self-healing' and therefore unsuitable for acoustical panel application.) For additional information on type II vinyl wallcoverings and their application to our acoustical panels, please contact us.
No vinyl wallcovering can be applied to any diffuser or reflector panel. |
CUSTOM OPTIONS

AR will attempt to utilize the
customer's fabric selection. We reserve the right to refuse the use of certain fabrics or
to not accept responsibility for the application of certain fabrics to acoustical
substrates.
Some thin fabrics allow the color
of the glass fiber absorber core to be seen through the fabric. AR may recommend that a
white glass fiber matte be laminated to the core prior to the application of the fabric.
High content nylon fabrics will
expand with temperature and/or humidity variations. The application of nylon fabrics to an
acoustical substrate is not recommended. However, if a nylon fabric is utilized, it
should be backed and face laminated to an impact resistant acoustical core (i.e., 1"
+ 1/8" = 118IR) to reduce sagging. Fabrics with a high content of natural fibers such
as cotton, wool, silk, jute and/or linen, can pucker and sag if exposed to humidity
variations. Backing these fabrics or face laminating the fabric to the acoustical core may
help to reduce the potential for sagging.
